Interior House Painters Brisbane.

Interior painting should transform a space, not disrupt your life. Empire Painting's interior crews are known for working methodically, protecting every surface, and leaving each room cleaner than they found it.

Empire Painting interior painting Brisbane

From a single room refresh to a full home repaint, we handle every step — furniture removal if needed, ceiling and wall prep, gap filling, prime and two quality coats. We use Dulux interior paints matched to your existing colours or chosen from Dulux's full colour range.

We're precise about line edges and consistently apply the number of coats needed for a durable finish. Tony's team takes particular care around architraves, skirtings and cornices — the details that separate a good paint job from a great one.

Interior Painting. Your questions.

How long does interior painting take?
A typical 4-bedroom home takes 4–6 days for walls and ceilings plus trim. A single room can usually be done in a day. We give you a detailed schedule in the quote so you know exactly when each area is being worked on.
Do I need to move my furniture?
For rooms with large furniture we ask that you clear breakables and valuable items. Tony's crew will shift larger pieces as needed and protect remaining furniture with drop cloths.
What sheen should I choose for different rooms?
We recommend flat or low-sheen for bedrooms and living areas, eggshell or satin for high-traffic areas and kids rooms, and semi-gloss for wet areas and trim. Tony will advise at the site visit based on your specific rooms.
Can you match my existing paint colour?
Yes. We can colour-match existing paint using a small chip or the existing tin. Dulux has an extensive colour library and our accredited status means we have access to specialist matching tools.
How do you protect my floors and fixtures?
We use quality drop cloths and tape throughout — hard floors get heavy duty protection, carpets are covered from doorway to doorway. Light fittings, power points and switches are all masked before work begins.
Do you fix cracks and holes before painting?
Yes. A detailed pre-paint fill is standard on every Empire Painting job. We fill cracks, holes and dents with the appropriate filler, sand back, and prime before the topcoat so the finish is smooth throughout.
Can you paint a ceiling without doing the walls?
Absolutely. Ceilings-only repaints are a popular way to freshen a room without a full repaint. We'll quote the ceiling separately and ensure a clean line at the cornice.
Is there a minimum job size?
We take on most residential jobs, but our minimum charge applies for very small single-room jobs. Call Tony for a quick chat — if we're not the right fit for your job size we'll tell you honestly.
