How long does an exterior paint job take?
Most single-storey homes take 3–5 days including prep, priming and two coats. Larger homes or those needing significant surface repair may take 5–8 days. Tony will give you a realistic timeline in the quote.
What paint do you use for exterior work?
We use Dulux exterior paints exclusively — we're a Dulux Accredited Painter which means we're trained in proper application and surface selection. For most Brisbane homes we recommend Dulux Weathershield for its UV and moisture resistance.
Do you need to move outdoor furniture and plants?
We'll move small items as part of the job and mask garden beds close to the house. Large planters or furniture should ideally be shifted by you beforehand — we'll let you know exactly what we need cleared at the site visit.
Can you paint a house while people are living in it?
Absolutely. We work around your household routine and maintain a clean, safe site throughout. Most families stay home during exterior repaints with no issues.
Do you repair damaged weatherboard before painting?
Yes. Minor repairs — filling cracks, replacing rotten sections, re-nailing loose boards — are part of our pre-paint prep service. If major timber replacement is needed we'll flag it in the quote.
How do I choose a colour for my exterior?
Tony offers a free colour consultation including a digital overlay of your home in your shortlisted colours. We work with Dulux colour consultants and can show you real on-site test patches before committing.
Is exterior painting weather-dependent?
Exterior painting needs dry weather and mild temperatures. Brisbane's dry season (May–October) is ideal. We monitor forecasts and schedule accordingly — if rain comes in unexpectedly, we pause and protect exposed surfaces.
Do you offer a warranty on exterior painting?
