A faux finish isn't just paint — it's a hand-applied technique where every stroke is visible in the final result. Venetian plaster builds depth through multiple thin layers, each burnished to a shine. Texture coats add tactile interest without the permanence of rendered masonry. Colour washes create warmth that flat paint simply can't replicate.

Empire Painting applies these techniques on feature walls, entry voids, living and dining spaces, and commercial interiors where a standard paint finish would be forgettable. Tony selects the technique based on the room, the light, and the overall palette — not just what happens to be on the sample card.

All faux work is quoted with a sample panel first so you can see the exact effect in your own light before committing to the full wall.
