Common questions about lawn mowing & edging
How do you charge for lawn mowing in Alderley?
iGrass Services charges per visit, not by the hour, so you know what the mow will cost before we start. Pricing is based on lawn size, edge length, how overgrown things have got since the last cut, and whether it's a regular schedule or a one-off. Quotes are free and given upfront — either over the phone after a quick chat about your yard, or in person if it's easier. There are no call-out fees on top of the mow price for jobs in our regular Brisbane North run.
Can I book a regular fortnightly or monthly mow?
Yes. Most of Ivan's clients are on a regular fortnightly or monthly cycle through the warmer months and stretch the gaps a little wider over winter when the lawn slows down. Once you're booked in we keep the same day each cycle so you can plan around it, and we'll always touch base if weather pushes a visit. You can pause, skip or cancel a visit any time without a fee — no contracts.
Do you do edging and clean-up, or just the mow?
Every mow includes sharp edging along paths, garden beds, fences and driveways, plus blowing the clippings off hard surfaces before we leave. If your bin has space we bag the catcher contents into it; if not, we can take green waste with us by arrangement. The aim is that when you get home the lawn looks finished, not just cut.
How quickly can you start a regular mow service?
For most Brisbane North suburbs we can usually start within a week of your first call, sometimes the same week if Ivan has a slot in your area on his existing run. Give us a call on 0477 000 517 with your suburb and rough lawn size and we'll let you know the next available start date.
Do you mow if the grass is really long?
Yes, overgrown lawns are fine — we just need to know roughly how high it is so we can plan a slow first cut and bring the right mower. Long grass usually needs two passes (one to top it, one to finish), and we'll quote that as a one-off catch-up before any regular schedule starts. After that, sticking to a regular cycle keeps the cost down.
What suburbs do you cover?
iGrass Services covers Alderley, Stafford Heights, Stafford, Everton Park, Mitchelton, Gaythorne, Wilston, Grange and the surrounding Brisbane North area. If you're a few suburbs outside that list it's still worth a call — for nearby jobs we can often add you to an existing day.
Do you bring your own mower and equipment?
Yes. We bring everything needed for the visit — mower, edger, blower, fuel, catcher bags. You don't need to leave anything out for us. If you have a side gate, just let us know how to access it and whether there's a dog at home so we can plan the visit.
