Personal training at Phoenix is individual-focused coaching with a qualified trainer who programs around you — your goals, your body, your schedule. We coach everyone from complete beginners to time-poor CEOs.

Different lengths suit different programs. Most members settle into a rhythm that fits their week — but trying a few formats is part of finding what works.
A great starting point for new clients. We blend resistance and cardiovascular work in a higher-intensity format — geared toward maximising energy expenditure, which is ideal if your priority is losing weight. Members are encouraged to arrive early and warm up. Note: 30-minute sessions are not recommended if you have existing injuries that may limit performance.
The most popular session length at our studio. 45 minutes gives your trainer enough time to put you through a complete, tailored, structured session. Whether the goal is muscle gain, weight loss, increasing strength or reshaping the body — this is the format that does the most work for the most people.
Commonly chosen by advanced exercisers with sports-specific goals. Longer warm-up, more accessory work, more time for skill-based movement.
Sessions start from $60.50 (30 min), $82.50 (45 min) and $102.50 (60 min). Extra persons in a session incur an additional fee. Sessions by appointment only.
You'll start with a chat about your goals, training history and any injuries or limitations — over the phone or in the studio. From there we book your first session, walk you through the gym, and your coach builds an initial program. Sessions are one-on-one, by appointment, with the same trainer week-to-week so progress builds session over session. We don't use a booking app or rotate coaches.
Not at all. We train everyone from complete beginners who've never lifted a weight to time-poor CEOs balancing a hectic schedule. Your coach scales every movement and load to where you are right now — and then progresses you from there. The whole point of having a personal trainer is having someone meet you where you are.
Sessions are 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on the format that fits your goals. Bring a water bottle, a small towel and clothes you can move and sweat in. Closed-in athletic shoes are best for lifting. We have everything else — racks, dumbbells, machines, cardio gear and a coach who'll walk you through every exercise.
Pricing is per session and depends on session length. Sessions start from $60.50 (30 min), $82.50 (45 min) and $102.50 (60 min). Most members find 45 minutes is the right balance of cost and outcome. If you'd like more than one person in your session we can arrange that — extra persons incur an additional fee. Get in touch and we'll talk you through what makes sense for your goals.
Yes — and it's one of the things we do best. With a physio and a rehab-trained PT on the team, we're well-placed to coach clients recovering from injury, surgery, or working with chronic conditions. We're also well-versed in pre- and post-natal training, peri-menopause programming, and training for clients well into their seventies. Tell us what's going on and we'll figure out the right approach.
Yes — we offer small-group personal training of three to four people, by request. It's a great option for friends, partners or workmates who want to train together with a coach. Pricing varies based on group size and session length. See our group training page or get in touch and we'll build something that works for your group.
Life happens — we get it. We ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer the slot to another member, ideally 24 hours where you can. We'll cover our cancellation policy in your first conversation so there are no surprises.
