Full Backyard Transformation

Chapel Hill, Brisbane

The Brief

This Chapel Hill family came to us with a backyard that wasn't working — an ageing deck, sloped unusable lawn, and no sheltered outdoor living area. They wanted a complete transformation that would give them a functional outdoor space for entertaining and everyday family use.

What We Did

We started with earthworks to create two level terraces, then built a new hardwood alfresco structure off the back of the house. A sandstone block retaining wall holds the upper level, with steps leading down to a lower paved entertaining area. Feature planting along the retaining wall softens the structure and ties the garden to the home's natural palette.

The project was completed over 12 working days. Jonathon managed the full scope — from the initial design through to landscaping and final clean-up — with no subcontractors required.
