How is water filter installation priced?
Pricing depends on the system you choose and how it connects into your existing plumbing. We give you an upfront quote covering supply and installation before we begin, so there are no surprises.
Can you install a filter for the whole house or just one tap?
Both. Some households just want filtered water at the kitchen tap, while others prefer a system that treats water across the whole home. We can install either — just let us know what you're after.
How often do the filters need replacing?
That varies by system and how much water you use. When we install your filter we'll show you how to check it and let you know roughly how often the cartridge needs changing, so it keeps performing well.
Can you install a filter system I've already bought?
Yes. If you've already chosen a system, we can install and connect it correctly. It's worth checking with us first that it's compatible with your plumbing — send us the details and we'll let you know.
Are you licensed to do this work?
Yes. Connecting a filtration system into your plumbing should be done by a licensed plumber. M&W Plumbing holds a Queensland-certified plumbing and drainage licence (QBCC Licence 15010152), so it's installed safely and correctly.
Will a water filter affect my water pressure?
A properly sized and installed system shouldn't noticeably affect your pressure. Part of choosing the right filter is making sure it suits your home's flow, which is something we'll consider when we recommend a system.
