How often should tiles and grout be professionally cleaned?
Most homes benefit from professional tile and grout cleaning every 12–18 months. High-traffic areas like kitchen floors and shower recesses may need attention every 6–12 months, as grout is porous and absorbs oils, soap scum, and mould spores that regular mopping can't remove.
Can you remove mould from grout lines?
Yes. We use commercial-grade anti-fungal treatments and high-pressure steam to kill mould at the root. Severely discoloured grout may need resealing after treatment, which we offer as an add-on service.
Will your cleaning damage my tiles or grout?
No. We assess the tile type before starting — porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, and mosaic tiles all require different pressures and chemicals. We use pH-neutral products on natural stone and calibrated pressure on older or delicate tiles to prevent etching or cracking.
Do you offer grout resealing after cleaning?
Yes, grout resealing is available as an add-on. After deep cleaning, applying a penetrating sealer significantly extends the time before the next deep clean is needed and makes routine mopping far more effective.
How long does tile and grout cleaning take?
A standard bathroom takes 1–2 hours. A full kitchen floor or large tiled living area takes 2–4 hours. We'll give you a time estimate when you book so you can plan around it.
Can you clean tiles at an end-of-lease property?
Absolutely. Tile and grout cleaning is one of the most common bond-back requirements flagged in exit condition reports. We're experienced with landlord and property manager standards and can provide an invoice and completion certificate on request.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Not necessarily. Many clients leave us a key or provide access via a lockbox. We'll communicate by text when we arrive and when we're done. For occupied properties, we just need the tiled areas to be accessible and free of loose items.
