How long does upholstery take to dry?
Most upholstery is ready for use within 2–4 hours. Heavier fabrics like velvet may take a little longer. Good ventilation and a fan pointed at the furniture significantly speeds up drying.
Can you remove pet hair and odours from a sofa?
Yes. Matthew pre-vacuums to remove loose pet hair and uses targeted deodorising solutions to neutralise pet odours at the fibre level — not just mask them on the surface.
Is it worth cleaning a very old lounge?
Very often yes. Matthew has revived 30+ year old velvet lounges, fabric sofas and vintage armchairs that owners assumed were past their best. The condition of the fibre matters more than the age. He'll assess it honestly before starting.
Can you clean dining chairs at the same visit?
Yes — Matthew can clean a full set of dining chairs in the same visit as a lounge suite. Bundling items together is more cost-effective than separate visits.
Will cleaning damage the colour or texture of my fabric?
Professional cleaning with the correct method restores colour and texture, not damages it. On any unfamiliar fabric, Matthew tests a small hidden area first to confirm the product and process are suitable before working across the whole piece.
