For booked work like a blocked drains install or non-urgent repair, we usually offer a slot the same week. Yes. For most blocked drains jobs we provide a fixed price before the work starts — not an hourly rate that creeps. The quote covers labour, fixtures, parts and the compliance paperwork where required. If we hit something genuinely unforeseen (a hidden secondary fault, for example), we’ll stop, explain it, and price it before we proceed.
Every plumber and gas fitter on our team holds a current QBCC licence. We carry full public liability insurance. Compliance certificates are issued for gas work and major water work as a matter of course — you don’t need to ask for them, we hand them over before we leave.

For blocked drains, we use upfront fixed pricing — you see the total cost (labour + parts + compliance) before work starts. For ongoing maintenance contracts (commercial sites, body-corp), we use scheduled service rates. We don’t do hourly + parts unless you specifically request it.
Workmanship is backed by a written guarantee — the term varies depending on the type of work but it’s clearly stated on the invoice. If something we did fails inside that period, we come back, diagnose, and put it right at no charge. For manufacturer faults on parts (a faulty hot-water unit, for example), we coordinate the warranty claim with the supplier on your behalf.
It depends on the job. For a quoted internal repair you usually need to be there to give us access. For external work (gas-meter swap, blocked drain in the front yard, hot-water unit on an outside wall), we can sometimes work with a key/lockbox arrangement — we’ll discuss it when we book.
We accept bank transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), and EFTPOS on site. Payment is due on completion of the work, after you’ve walked through the result with us. For commercial accounts and body-corporate work we offer 14-day terms by arrangement.
