5 Great Workouts and Places to Train in Brisbane

5 Great workouts and places to train in Brisbane Brisbane is a great city! being from England I love the weather and great people. If you are looking for some great ways to get fit and places to train I have listed my top 5 workout and places to train below. by Adam Petford, Certified Personal Trainer: 10/28/2024 Kangaroo Point Cliff Top Stair Climb The Kangaroo Point Cliff Top Stair Climb is my favourite Brisbane outdoor workout!

It’s a great challenge with 109 steps that get steeper towards the top. A great way to approach this is by doing 10 reps (a rep being a full up and down). Be sure to grab 10 sticks or stones at the top before you start and remove one each time; otherwise, you will lose your count! Increase the intensity by attempting two steps at once, making the climb harder!

You can do it a couple of times throughout the session. The best time for this workout is very early morning 5 am – 6 am otherwise you can get caught behind people with prams, bikes, shopping bags etc! Get directions The River Loop – Great Brisbane City Walk This is the best walk in Brisbane! The whole loop should take you around 1.5 hours to complete.

The track is quite flat with a challenging little climb at the base of the Story Bridge. The walk starts at the base of the Goodwill Bridge on the Southbank side, then takes you through Parklands and then on to the cafes and bars at Eagle St, over the story bridge and through the Southbank. Look out for the spectacular views of the CBD when you are walking over the Story Bridge!

Mount Gravatt -Summit Track The Mount Gravatt Summit Track is located near Holland Park (5 minutes from Goodlife Holland Park Gym). You can take several tracks to the top, and most of them can be done in about an hour. At the summit, you will see awesome views of the CBD on a good day. The wildlife is great! You will likely see several Koalas and maybe even a Wallaby or two!
