Our philosophy

Led by Dr. Vivek Mitter, whose journey began in Brisbane and then took him back to India, the classes embrace the wisdom of ancient practices while making them accessible and relevant to modern life.

Your instructor

Vivek's yoga journey began more than 25 years ago. In India, he earned a PhD in Agricultural Sciences and worked with organisations including IARI, UQ and CSIRO in Queensland.

After health issues in the early 2000s led him to yoga, he trained in India in Sivananda and Hatha Yoga styles and opened Om Yoga Wellness Centre in 2005. The source site notes that he has taught yoga in schools, prisons, aged care homes, corporate offices and to professional athletes.
