What types of timber doors do you supply and install for homes?
We supply and install solid timber doors and engineered timber doors for all residential applications — internal room doors, external entry doors, French doors, double doors, and more. Dave can walk you through the options that suit your home's style, budget, and climate.
Do you supply the doors, or should I source my own?
We can supply doors through our trade suppliers, which typically gives you a better price and ensures the door is appropriate for the application. If you've already sourced a door you'd like installed, we're happy to work with that too.
How long does a typical domestic door installation take?
A single interior door replacement usually takes half a day. External doors, double doors, or projects involving new or modified frames take longer — typically a full day or more. Dave will give you a clear timeframe when he quotes the job.
Can you match new doors to my existing home style?
Yes — this is something Dave takes seriously. Whether your home is Federation, Queenslander, contemporary, or modern, he'll recommend door profiles, panel designs, and hardware options that complement your existing architecture.
Do you paint or stain the doors after installation?
Yes. The finishing process is included as part of the job. Depending on the timber and your preference, we can prime and paint, or apply a stain and clear coat. The finish is always applied after fitting, so doors are colour-matched and properly sealed.
Do I need a QBCC-licensed contractor to install doors in Queensland?
For most timber door installations that involve modifications to frames, walls, or structural elements, you'll need a QBCC-licensed builder. Dave holds QBCC Licence No. 1170263, so all work is completed to code and fully insured.
What areas do you service for domestic door installation?
We service Caboolture, Moreton Bay, North Brisbane, greater Brisbane, and the Sunshine Coast. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, call Dave directly on 0407 200 069.
Are solid timber doors worth the extra cost over hollow-core doors?
Solid timber doors offer significantly better acoustic insulation, durability, and feel. They also hold their shape far better in Queensland's humidity. For external doors especially, solid timber is usually the right long-term investment. Dave can help you weigh up the options for each door in your home.
