A typical softscape project with us starts by improving the soil so plants have the best chance to establish, then laying turf or planting out beds chosen to suit your space and how much sun it gets. Whether you want a full garden makeover or just a fresh lawn and some new planting, we scope the work around your vision and budget.

Brisbane's warm, humid summers and mild winters reward plants that can handle heat and the occasional dry spell. We select species suited to your specific position — how much sun and shade the area gets, the soil, and how much maintenance you want to do — so the garden looks good and keeps thriving once we leave. Turfing lays real, living lawn — we prepare the ground with quality under-turf soil and roll out fresh turf for an instant green lawn. Artificial grass is a synthetic surface that needs no mowing or watering, which makes it a good option for heavily shaded areas or spots where natural lawn struggles to grow. We install both, and during your quote we'll talk through which one suits your yard, your budget and how you want to use the space.

Mulch does more than tidy up the look of a garden bed. A good layer of mulch helps the soil hold moisture, keeps roots cooler through Brisbane summers, and suppresses weed growth so your beds need less ongoing work. It also breaks down over time to feed the soil. We can mulch as part of a larger softscape project or as a standalone job to refresh tired beds.

We do plenty of both. A large share of our work is transforming tired, overgrown or template-style gardens into spaces the owners actually want to spend time in. We can work with what's already there — keeping established trees and good structure — while reshaping beds, replacing lawn and replanting. If you'd prefer a clean slate, we can clear the space and start fresh.

It depends on what's planted. Fresh turf knits in within a few weeks with the right watering, while garden beds fill out over a season or two as shrubs and plants establish. We choose plant sizes and spacing so the garden looks good straight away and keeps improving — and we'll give you clear advice on watering and care for those first important months.
