Got Questions? //
Everything you need to know about training with Universal Personal Training. Can't find what you're looking for? Call us directly.
Getting Started //
The first step is booking a free consultation — a no-obligation conversation about your goals, fitness history, and lifestyle. We'll outline what a program would look like for you and answer any questions you have. Contact us via the form or call us directly to book yours.
We offer a free initial consultation that includes a basic movement and fitness assessment. This gives you a genuine taste of how we coach and helps us understand your starting point before any commitment is made.
Not necessarily. We can train at commercial gyms (you'll need a membership), outdoor locations, or your home. We discuss the best arrangement for your goals and circumstances during the consultation. For some services — particularly home-based or outdoor training — you won't need a gym membership at all.
We work with many clients who have existing injuries, chronic conditions, or post-surgical limitations. We always recommend medical clearance from your GP or specialist first. Once we have that, we design programs that work with your body's current state and support your recovery or management goals.
Training & Programs //
Most clients train 2–4 times per week with us. The right frequency depends on your goals, schedule, budget, and recovery capacity. Even 2 sessions per week produces meaningful results when the programming is right and you're consistent. We'll help you find the right number during your consultation.
Standard personal training sessions are 45–60 minutes. Group fitness classes run 45–50 minutes. We use this time efficiently — there's no padding or idle chat, just productive training.
Yes, constantly. We review and update your program regularly based on your progress, feedback, and changing goals. A good program should be evolving — if you're doing the same workout for months without change, it's not a professional program.
Absolutely. Beginners are some of our favourite clients to work with. Starting from scratch means we can build excellent movement habits from the very first session, and you'll often see the fastest early progress of any experience level.
Yes. We work with clients of all ages. For older adults, we focus on functional strength, balance, mobility, and the kind of fitness that directly improves quality of life and independence. Our programs are always adapted to age-related considerations.
Nutrition //
Basic nutrition guidance is woven into all our personal training packages. Dedicated nutritional coaching — with detailed assessments, personalised strategies, and regular check-ins — is available as an add-on or standalone service.
We focus on principles over rigid meal plans, which tend to fail in real life. We'll give you frameworks, portion guides, and sample meal structures, but the goal is to give you the knowledge to make good decisions in any situation — not a 7-day plan you'll abandon by Wednesday.
Yes. We work with vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and many other dietary approaches. Good nutrition is achievable across virtually all dietary frameworks.
Online Coaching //
You receive a custom training program via our coaching app, along with nutrition guidance and weekly check-in support. You submit technique videos for feedback and we adjust your program based on your weekly check-ins. It's structured, personalised, and supported — just delivered remotely.
Yes, generally. Online coaching removes the logistical overhead of in-person sessions, which means we can deliver high-quality coaching at a lower price point. It's an excellent option for those who want professional support at a more accessible investment.
Absolutely. We design programs around whatever equipment and space you have available. Home training with proper programming can be highly effective for most fitness goals.
