My Brisbane Plumber began life in 1997 as Mothersole Plumbing — a sole-trader business set up by Scott to do honest plumbing for honest people. More than 25 years later, we’re still here. Still based on the Northside, still answering the phone in person, still taking calls from clients we first served when their kids were in primary school.
What’s changed: a small, hand-picked team of plumbers and gas fitters; a bigger fleet of fully kitted-out vehicles; and a list of regular commercial clients (restaurants, body corporates, nursing homes) that came to us by word of mouth and never left.
What hasn’t: the way we work. We don’t upsell. We don’t pad invoices. We don’t leave a worksite that wouldn’t pass our own homeowner test. The whole business runs on referrals, and that’s only possible if every single job earns the next one.
