Our Story

Three decades of public practice

McCarthy Salkeld Chartered Accountants commenced in 1995, evolving from a Chartered Accounting firm formerly known as Salkeld, Gregor and Turnbull — a practice with roots in the Sydney CBD stretching back over 50 years.

In 1977, the firm moved to Auburn in Western Sydney. In late 1998, the restructured firm relocated to North Parramatta, where it has served clients across NSW and the Eastern States ever since.

Our philosophy is straightforward: provide superior quality and personal support; deliver technical advice that is concise and timely; take an holistic approach to every client engagement to identify every opportunity that adds genuine value.

Thomas is a qualified member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Justice of the Peace (NSW), registered SMSF auditor and External Examiner with the Law Society. With over 10 years of public practice experience, he advises small to medium businesses, family groups, SMSFs, charities, and sporting clubs. His background also spans Psychology, Coaching, and Sport Management.
