Everything you need to know about classes, membership, and getting started at Kendall Fitness in Upper Coomera.
HIIT Classes
Do I need prior fitness experience for HIIT at Kendall Fitness?
Not at all. Our HIIT classes are designed for all levels, and instructors offer modifications so every participant can work at their own pace.
How often should I do HIIT classes?
We recommend 2–3 HIIT sessions per week, balanced with lower-intensity classes like Stretch & Release or Vinyasa Yoga for best results.
What should I bring to a HIIT class?
Bring a water bottle, a sweat towel, and supportive cross-training shoes. All equipment is provided in our fully equipped studio.
How long do HIIT classes run?
Most HIIT sessions at Kendall Fitness run for 45 minutes, including a warm-up and cool-down.
Will HIIT help me lose weight?
HIIT is one of the most effective styles of training for improving cardiovascular fitness and body composition — especially when combined with consistent attendance and a balanced lifestyle.
Can I do HIIT while I'm pregnant or postpartum?
We recommend consulting your GP or midwife first. Our instructors can suggest lower-impact modifications, or you may prefer our Stretch & Release or Yoga Flow classes during this time.
K-Circuit
What is K-Circuit?
K-Circuit is Kendall Fitness's signature class that cycles you through a series of stations combining resistance, cardio and core exercises for a full-body workout.
How many people are in a K-Circuit class?
Classes are intentionally kept to a small group size so every participant gets attention and coaching from our instructors.
Is K-Circuit suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Each station can be scaled up or down, making K-Circuit a great entry point for women new to structured training.
How often is K-Circuit scheduled?
K-Circuit runs multiple times per week. Check our online timetable for current days and times.
What results can I expect from K-Circuit?
Regular attendees report improved strength, better endurance, and higher energy levels — typically within 4–6 weeks of consistent training.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, we recommend booking through our online system to secure your spot, especially for popular session times.
Strength & Conditioning
What equipment do you use for Strength & Conditioning?
Our studio is equipped with Verve Strength Racks, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and functional training tools for a complete strength training environment.
Is Strength & Conditioning suitable for women who have never lifted weights?
Yes — our instructors provide thorough technique coaching so beginners lift safely and confidently from day one.
Will strength training make me bulky?
No. Strength training builds lean muscle, improves metabolism and enhances everyday function. The 'bulky' fear is a common myth — our members consistently achieve a toned, strong physique.
How does Strength & Conditioning differ from HIIT?
Strength & Conditioning focuses on progressive resistance training with longer rest periods, while HIIT is cardiovascular-focused with minimal rest. Both complement each other well.
How many sessions per week do I need to see strength gains?
Two to three sessions per week is the sweet spot for most members when combined with adequate recovery.
Can I do Strength & Conditioning if I have an injury?
Speak to your physiotherapist first, then let our instructors know — we can modify movements to accommodate most common injuries.
Yoga & Wellness
What is the difference between Vinyasa Yoga Flow and Stretch & Release?
Vinyasa Yoga Flow links breath with movement in a dynamic sequence that builds strength and flexibility. Stretch & Release is a slower, restorative class focused on lengthening muscles and releasing tension.
Do I need yoga experience to join Vinyasa Flow?
No prior experience is needed. Our instructor guides every pose and offers alternatives so beginners can participate safely from the first class.
What should I wear to a yoga class?
Wear comfortable, stretchy activewear. Yoga is practised barefoot, so no specific footwear is required.
How does yoga complement my other training at Kendall Fitness?
Yoga improves flexibility, balance and body awareness — qualities that directly enhance your performance in HIIT, K-Circuit and strength classes while reducing injury risk.
Is Stretch & Release appropriate for older members or those returning from injury?
Yes. It is one of the most accessible classes we offer and is particularly beneficial for reducing muscle soreness and improving joint mobility.
How often should I do yoga or stretching?
Even once a week makes a measurable difference. Many of our members include one Vinyasa Flow and one Stretch & Release session in their weekly schedule alongside more intense classes.
Boxing & Cardio
Do I need boxing experience to join the boxing classes?
Not at all. Our boxing classes are technique-focused and beginner-friendly — you will learn correct stance, guard and punch combinations in a supportive environment.
What equipment do I need for boxing classes?
Gloves and wraps are provided at the studio, so just bring yourself and your workout gear.
Is Zumba a good workout?
Absolutely. Zumba combines Latin-inspired dance moves with aerobic exercise, burning a significant number of calories while keeping the energy high and the atmosphere fun.
Are boxing or Zumba classes suitable for beginners?
Yes — both classes welcome all fitness levels. The emphasis is on participation, enjoyment and effort rather than perfection.
Can I attend boxing classes while pregnant?
Consult your healthcare provider before attending. Contact-free boxing pad work may be suitable for some stages of pregnancy with appropriate modifications.
How do boxing classes benefit women specifically?
Boxing builds upper body strength, core stability, coordination and cardiovascular endurance — while also being a great stress reliever and confidence builder.
