Common questions.
Do I need a truck licence for the Sydney to Brisbane run?
No. Every Easy truck has a GVM at or below 4,500 kg. An open class C car licence, or a Green P-plate, from any Australian state or territory is all you need, and international licences are accepted too. No truck licence, no heavy vehicle endorsement, no special conditions.
How does the one-way fee work?
A one-way fee applies on top of the daily rental rate when you pick up in Sydney and drop off in QLD. The exact amount depends on your pickup location, drop-off location and travel dates. Call 1300 327 901 or use the contact form for a price on the spot.
Can I drop off on the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast?
Yes. After picking up at any of our 7 Sydney locations, you can drop off at any Easy location in Queensland, including all four Gold Coast locations (Carrara, Burleigh Heads, Ashmore, Coolangatta) and all three Sunshine Coast locations (Baringa, Forest Glen, Maroochydore).
What are the pick-up and return hours?
All Easy locations are open for pick-up and return between 7am and 7pm, seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays. Pick-up and drop-off at both ends of the trip happen within those same hours.
How much is the deposit?
A $500 pre-authorisation is placed on a credit card at pick-up. This is a hold, not a charge, no funds are taken from your account. The hold is released when the truck is returned in the same condition. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club.
Is 24/7 roadside assistance included?
Yes. Complimentary 24-hour roadside assistance is included with every hire at no extra charge. Our fleet is brand-new, so breakdowns are rare, but if something does happen on the Sydney–Brisbane corridor, you're covered around the clock.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you know your moving date. One-way interstate hires on the Sydney–Brisbane corridor can book out quickly, especially around school holidays, long weekends and end-of-month dates. We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks ahead where possible.
