What is soft washing and how is it different from pressure cleaning?
Soft washing uses low water pressure combined with biodegradable cleaning solutions to kill biological growth like mould, algae and lichen at the root. Pressure cleaning relies on water force alone, which can damage render and tiles. Soft washing gives results that last 2–3 years because it eliminates the organism entirely.
Is soft washing safe for painted or rendered walls?
Yes. Soft washing is specifically designed for surfaces that can't tolerate high-pressure water — including painted render, textured cladding, tile roofs and Colorbond. We adjust chemical concentration and rinse pressure to suit your specific surface type.
Will soft washing damage my plants and garden?
We pre-wet all garden beds and surrounding plants before applying any solution, and rinse thoroughly afterwards. Our biodegradable formulas break down quickly. We take plant protection seriously on every job.
How long will the results last?
Typically 2–3 years on most surfaces, compared to 3–6 months after a pressure wash. Results vary depending on shade, moisture levels and tree cover near the treated area.
Can you clean a whole house exterior in one visit?
Yes. A typical single-storey house takes 2–4 hours. Two-storey homes and larger properties take a full day. We'll give you a time estimate when we quote.
