General questions
Do you cover my suburb?
BK Cleaning Brisbane is based in Nundah and our regular run covers most of Brisbane's northside and inner city — including Clayfield, Ascot, Hamilton, Hendra, Albion, Wooloowin, Newstead, Northgate, Eagle Farm, New Farm, Fortitude Valley, the Brisbane Airport precinct, and out through Chermside, Stafford, Kedron, Aspley, Ferny Grove and Mitchelton. The full list of 60+ suburbs is on the pricing page. If your address sits just outside the usual run, give us a call anyway — we extend the schedule to fit when the route makes sense.
What are your business hours?
Cleaning runs are scheduled Monday to Friday during business hours, with some Saturday morning slots available for clients who can't be home during the week. Phone enquiries are answered during weekday daylight hours and you can leave a message after-hours which we return the next business morning. Free in-home inspections are usually booked within a few days of the first call — early-morning or after-work slots are available so you don't have to take time off work.
Are you licensed and insured?
BK Cleaning Brisbane operates as a fully insured house cleaning service, with public liability insurance covering all the residential and commercial cleaning work we do. Insurance is current and a Certificate of Currency can be provided on request — useful for property managers, body corporates, and commercial landlords who need it on file. Just ask when you book and we'll forward the certificate directly to whoever needs it.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer (EFT) is preferred — we email a tax invoice when the job's complete and you pay from there. We also accept cash for one-off residential cleans, and card payments via secure invoice link. For regular cleans, we typically invoice fortnightly or monthly to match the cleaning schedule. Payment terms are agreed upfront in the written quote so there are no surprises later.
How do I get a quote?
Every quote starts with a free, no-obligation in-home or in-office inspection. You call or message us, we book a time, and Belle (or one of the team leads) walks through the space with you to scope the work and answer questions. You'll receive a written quote within 24 hours of the visit. There's no pressure to book — the inspection is genuinely free even if you decide not to go ahead.
Do you offer a warranty or guarantee on cleaning?
If anything ever isn't right after we've cleaned, you can call us within 48 hours and we'll come back to put it right at no charge. The same team who did the original clean comes back, so they know exactly what was done and can address any specifics. We'd rather hear about a missed corner immediately than have a customer feel let down — pick up the phone and we'll fix it.
Residential cleaning
How long does a typical house clean take?
It depends on the size and condition of the home. Our minimum residential clean is four hours, which covers a typical 2-3 bedroom Brisbane home in good condition with a regular cleaning schedule already in place. Larger homes, deep cleans, or homes that haven't been cleaned in a while will take longer — we'll quote the time accurately at the free in-home inspection so there are no surprises on the day.
What's included in a regular house clean?
A regular clean covers all main rooms — bedrooms (dust, vacuum, make beds), kitchen (wipe down, vacuum and mop floors, clean countertops, polish sink), bathrooms (scrub and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers and tubs), and living areas (vacuum, mop, dust). Items like internal windows, oven cleaning, fridge interiors and changing bed sheets ($20 per bed) are extra and quoted separately so you only pay for what you want done.
How much do you charge per hour for residential cleaning?
Regular cleans (weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedules) are $65 per hour plus GST with a four-hour minimum. One-off cleans are $75 per hour plus GST with the same four-hour minimum. The exact hours required for your home are scoped at the free in-home inspection — most regular Brisbane homes book in for four to six hours per visit depending on size and frequency.
Do you bring your own cleaning products and equipment?
Yes — we bring everything needed for a standard clean: vacuum, mop, microfibre cloths, all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner, oven cleaner if booked, and so on. If you have a preference for specific products (eco-friendly, low-fragrance, or particular brands you already use at home), let us know during the inspection and we'll use those instead.
Can I book the same cleaners every visit?
Yes — that's actually the whole point of a regular clean. Once we set up a regular schedule for your home, you'll see the same small team each visit. They learn your home, your preferences and your priorities, which means each clean gets better and faster over time. If a regular team member is on leave, we'll let you know in advance who's filling in.
What if I need to skip or reschedule a regular clean?
Just give us 24 hours notice and we'll move the visit at no charge. We're flexible — Brisbane families have school holidays, work travel, and unexpected things come up. Cancellations inside 24 hours may attract a small fee since the cleaning slot has already been allocated and may be hard to refill, but we'll always work with you on it.
Do you handle end-of-lease cleans?
Yes — end-of-lease (bond) cleans are quoted as one-off jobs since the scope is much bigger than a regular clean. They typically include oven cleaning, internal windows, fridge interior, walls and skirting boards, full bathroom descale, and detailed kitchen cabinetry — all the items property managers expect on the bond inspection. We'll walk through what your specific lease requires at the inspection.
Office cleaning
What's the minimum office clean?
Office cleans have a two-hour minimum at $75 per hour plus GST. Smaller offices typically book in for two to three hours at the right frequency (daily, weekly, or fortnightly), which keeps the space presentable without paying for cleaning you don't need.
Can you clean outside business hours?
Yes — most of our office clients prefer the team to come in early morning, evening, or on weekends so the cleaning doesn't disrupt the working day. We carry standard insurances for after-hours commercial access and can hold keys or use access systems your office already has in place.
Do you supply consumables like toilet paper and hand soap?
We can — it's a separate line on the quote. Most clients prefer to manage consumables themselves through their existing supplier (it's usually cheaper at scale), but if you'd rather we restock as part of the regular visit, we'll do it at cost plus a small handling fee. Either way works fine.
Can you handle larger commercial spaces?
We work with offices of all sizes — from small two-room professional services up to multi-floor commercial spaces. For larger sites, we put a small team on the job rather than one cleaner, which gets the work done faster and lets us handle specialised tasks like floor maintenance and detailed bathroom work in parallel.
What about end-of-lease commercial cleans?
Yes — commercial end-of-lease cleans are quoted as one-off jobs and typically include strip-and-seal of hard floors, deep carpet clean (subcontracted to a specialist), full kitchen and bathroom restoration, internal window cleaning, and detailed wall and skirting work. We'll walk through your lease's makegood requirements at the inspection.
Do you provide a Certificate of Currency for our landlord?
Yes — every commercial client we work with needs the Certificate on file. Just ask when you book and we'll send it directly to your landlord, body corporate or facilities manager. Insurance covers public liability across all the cleaning work we do.
Pressure cleaning
What surfaces can you pressure clean?
Driveways, concrete paths, patios, alfresco decks, pavers, brick and retaining walls, pool surrounds (non-painted), garage floors and commercial loading bays. Pressure cleaning works on most hard external surfaces — what we don't pressure clean is anything painted (paint flakes off), softwood decking that hasn't been sealed (the wood grain can get torn up), or surfaces that are structurally compromised.
How much does pressure cleaning cost?
Minimum job is $220 plus GST. Pricing depends on the surface area, condition (lightly grimy versus heavily caked-on), and access (a flat driveway is faster than a multi-level patio with garden furniture and pots to move). Every quote starts with a free on-site inspection so we can scope the work properly — no obligation to book.
How long does pressure cleaning take?
A standard residential driveway typically takes one to three hours depending on size and condition. A patio or pool surround often takes longer because of the corners, garden edges, and surface detail. We'll quote the time accurately at the inspection so you know what to expect on the day.
Do I need to be home for pressure cleaning?
Not necessarily — as long as we have access to the area, an external tap and a power point, we can do the job while you're at work. We'll arrange access details at the inspection. Pet owners should secure pets indoors during the clean since the equipment is loud.
Will pressure cleaning damage my concrete or pavers?
Used correctly, pressure cleaning won't damage healthy concrete or sealed pavers. We adjust the pressure and nozzle for each surface — high pressure for caked-on driveways, lower pressure for softer surfaces like sandstone pavers. If we see damage already starting before we begin (cracking, crumbling concrete, lifting pavers), we'll flag it before pressure cleaning makes it worse.
Do you reseal driveways after cleaning?
Sealing is a separate trade and we don't offer it as part of the pressure clean. We can recommend sealers and applicators if you want it done after we've cleaned. Note that sealing should be done a week or two after pressure cleaning so the surface is fully dry — applying sealant to a damp surface causes problems.
Oven cleaning
How much does oven cleaning cost?
Starting from $150 plus GST. Final price depends on oven size (single, double, or wall oven) and condition — a regular oven that's been kept clean is faster than one with years of caked-on grease. Air fryers, range hoods, and BBQs can be added to the same visit at a discounted rate. Free no-obligation quote before you book.
How long does an oven clean take?
A typical oven clean takes one and a half to two and a half hours from start to finish. We work in your kitchen — no need to dismantle the oven or take it offsite. Removable parts (racks, trays, fan covers) are degreased separately while the oven interior is cleaned in place.
What does the oven clean include?
Internal walls, base, ceiling, the inside of the door including the glass, removable racks and trays, the fan and grill where accessible, and the knobs, handles and exterior wipe-down. The oven looks immaculate when we're done — back to factory finish in most cases. If yours has cosmetic damage to the interior coating from previous heavy use, we'll flag it but it doesn't affect the clean.
Do you use harsh chemicals?
We use professional oven cleaning agents which are stronger than supermarket products but applied carefully — no fumes left after we leave, the kitchen ventilates fully during the clean, and the oven is wiped clean of all residue before we hand it back. If you have specific chemical sensitivities or pets, let us know at the inspection and we'll adjust.
Can you clean an air fryer or range hood at the same time?
Yes — we add air fryers and range hoods at a discounted rate when booked alongside an oven clean. BBQs are a separate quote since they vary so much. The full price is confirmed at the no-obligation quote stage so you can decide what to include.
Is oven cleaning included in a regular house clean?
No — oven cleaning is a separate service because the time and chemicals required are very different from a standard wipe-down. It's a popular add-on for end-of-lease cleans, pre-sale cleans, and households who want to reset a neglected oven once or twice a year. Books in alongside any of our other cleaning services if you want it on the same visit.
