What is a bond clean?
A bond clean — also called an end-of-lease or move-out clean — is a thorough clean of a rental property when a tenancy ends. It's more detailed than a regular clean because it needs to meet the standard agents and landlords expect at the final inspection so your bond can be returned in full.
Does a bond clean guarantee my bond back?
No cleaner can guarantee a bond refund, because final inspections also consider things like property damage and wear that are outside cleaning. What we can do is clean the property thoroughly to the standard agents look for, which removes cleaning as a reason for any deduction. If your agent raises a specific cleaning issue, let us know promptly.
Is carpet cleaning included in a bond clean?
Carpet cleaning is offered as an add-on so your whole move-out can be handled by one team. Many leases require professional carpet cleaning at the end of a tenancy, so it's worth including — just mention it when you book and we'll quote it together.
How long does a bond clean take?
It depends on the size and condition of the property. An empty, well-kept home is quicker than a larger or heavily lived-in one. When you request a quote we'll give you an idea of timing along with the price.
Should the property be empty before you clean?
Ideally yes. An empty property lets us clean every surface, inside cupboards and under where furniture stood, which is exactly what a final inspection checks. If you still have items to move, let us know and we'll work out the best approach.
Do you clean the oven and inside cupboards?
Yes — a bond clean covers the kitchen in detail including the oven exterior, cooktop, benches, and inside and outside of cupboards and drawers. These are common inspection points, so they're part of the move-out standard.
How far in advance should I book a bond clean?
As early as you can once you know your move-out date, so we can secure a time that lines up with your handover. Get in touch with your date and we'll book you in and send a quote.
