How we work — start to finish

No surprises. From your first call to final handover, here's exactly what working with Outdoor Aspect looks like.

1

Initial Consultation

It starts with a conversation. Tell us about your outdoor space — what you have, what you're hoping to create, and roughly what you're thinking budget-wise. We'll ask questions that help us understand how your family actually uses (or wants to use) the space.

If it sounds like a good fit, we arrange a site visit at a time that suits you.

No fee for the initial consultation. We come to you.
2

Site Visit & Brief

Ricky visits your property to understand what we're working with. We assess access, drainage, sun angles, soil, neighbouring properties and any existing features worth keeping. We listen to what you want — and ask the questions that help us design something that will actually work.

Typically 45–60 minutes on-site. This is where the good ideas start.
3

Design

Ryan takes everything from the site visit and develops a detailed design concept. For larger projects this includes a landscape masterplan, pool layout, structure positions, planting palette, materials and surface finishes. You get visualisations so you can see what it'll look like before anything is committed.

We review the design together, refine it until it's right, then move to quoting.

Design fee applies for full landscape masterplans; discussed upfront before any work begins.
4

Fixed-Price Quote

Once the design is approved, we produce a fully itemised, fixed-price quote. Line by line — every material, every trade, every element. You know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before a single tool touches your property.

If scope changes mid-project (it occasionally does), we discuss and agree on the cost before any additional work happens.

No surprise invoices. Fixed price means fixed price.
5

Construction

Work begins once approvals are in place and a deposit is received. Our team builds to the approved design — pool shell, landscaping, structures, planting, finishes — in a logical sequence that minimises disruption to your home and garden.

Ricky oversees every stage. If something needs a decision during the build, we call you — we don't just make the call ourselves.

Regular progress updates throughout the build. Typical projects: 8–16 weeks.
6

Handover & Aftercare

When the work is complete, we do a full walk-through with you — explaining how to care for your pool, what the plants need through the seasons, and how the systems work. We leave the site clean, tidy and ready to use.

We're still available after handover. Many clients move to an ongoing maintenance arrangement, and we're always happy to come back if something needs attention.

Pool and garden maintenance packages available for ongoing care.
