Lawns get the attention, but it's a tidy garden that really makes a place feel looked after. Overgrown beds, shaggy hedges and tired-looking plants can drag down the whole yard — and they're the jobs most people keep putting off.
Mitch's garden service takes care of all of it: weeding and tidying the beds, shaping hedges, pruning back trees and plants, laying fresh mulch, and clearing away every bit of green waste. You're left with a garden that looks cared for, without spending your weekend on it.
Every job starts with a free quote. Mitch will walk the garden with you and recommend a tidy-up — one-off or ongoing — that suits the space and your budget.
Garden services FAQ
A garden tidy-up is a general clean-up of your garden beds — weeding, light pruning, removing dead growth, neatening edges and clearing away the mess so the whole space looks cared for again. Depending on what your garden needs we can also fold in mulching, hedging and tree trimming. When Mitch quotes the job he'll walk the garden with you, agree what's in scope and tailor the visit to the spots that need the most attention so you get the best result for your budget.
Yes. Taking the mess away is part of the service — we don't leave piles of clippings, prunings or weeds behind for you to deal with. Whether it's a general garden bed tidy or a bigger pruning and hedging job, your garden is left clean and finished when we go. If there's a particularly large volume of green waste involved we'll mention it in the quote so the price is clear up front, but for most jobs removal is simply included.
Our tree trimming and removal service is height restricted to trees of around three to four metres. That covers most ornamental trees, small shade trees and overgrown shrubs in a typical Brisbane backyard. Anything taller or near power lines is a job for a licensed arborist, and we'll happily point you in the right direction if that's what your situation calls for. If you're unsure whether your tree is within range, send Mitch a photo and we'll let you know.
Yes, hedging is one of our most popular garden services. Whether it's a single overgrown hedge that's lost its shape or a row of screening plants that needs regular shaping, we can cut it back cleanly and take the trimmings away. Many customers have their hedges done as part of a regular garden visit so they stay neat year round, but we're equally happy to come out for a one-off reshape. We'll recommend a sensible rhythm when we quote.
Garden work is quoted per job and the quote is always free. The price depends on the size of the garden, how overgrown it is, what's involved — weeding, pruning, mulching, hedging or trimming — and how much green waste needs to be removed. Once we've seen the garden or had a clear description with photos, we'll give you a firm price before any work begins. We'll also explain what's included so you can decide whether to add or trim anything from the scope.
Definitely. Many customers prefer ongoing garden maintenance so their beds, hedges and plants never get out of hand. We can set up a regular visit — often alongside your lawn mowing — at a frequency that suits the garden, whether that's monthly, seasonally or somewhere in between. Regular upkeep is usually more cost-effective than letting things go and needing a big reset later, and it keeps your whole yard looking consistently sharp.
We can supply and spread mulch as part of a garden job — it's a great way to keep moisture in, suppress weeds and give beds a fresh, finished look. If your job involves new planting we can talk through plant options that suit your garden's light and soil. Any materials are itemised in your quote so you can see exactly what's included, and you're welcome to supply your own mulch or plants if you'd prefer.
Send Mitch a quick message about your garden and we'll sort a free, no-obligation quote.
