01

Lawn Mowing

Regular, reliable mowing that keeps your lawn neat, healthy and even all year round. We cut to the right height for your grass type and the season, so your lawn looks great and stays strong — not scalped.

Common questions about lawn mowing
How often should I have my lawn mowed?+
It depends on the season and how fast your grass grows. Through the warmer Brisbane months most lawns look best mowed every one to two weeks, while in cooler months a three to four week cycle is often enough. We'll recommend a schedule when we see your lawn.
Do I need to be home when you mow?+
No. As long as we have safe access to the lawn and any gates are unlocked, you don't need to be home. Many of our regular Ashgrove customers are at work when we visit.
Do you bring your own mower and equipment?+
Yes. We arrive fully equipped with our own mowers, trimmers and tools, so there's nothing you need to provide. We just need access to the area being mowed.
Can you do a one-off mow rather than a regular service?+
Absolutely. We're happy to do a single tidy-up mow with no obligation to book ongoing visits. Many customers start with a one-off and set up a regular schedule once they see the result.
02

Edging & Trimming

Crisp edges along paths, driveways and garden beds, plus tidy line trimming where the mower can't reach. It's the finishing detail that makes a mown lawn look properly looked-after rather than just cut.

Common questions about edging & trimming
What is edging and why does it matter?+
Edging is the clean cut along the borders of your lawn where it meets paths, driveways and garden beds. It's the detail that makes a freshly mown lawn look properly finished. We edge as part of our mowing visits so the whole lawn looks sharp.
Is edging included with a mow or charged separately?+
For regular lawn visits, edging and line trimming are part of the standard service. If you only want edging done as a stand-alone job, just let us know and we'll quote it on its own.
Can you trim around trees and obstacles?+
Yes. Line trimming handles the spots a mower can't reach — around trees, posts, fence lines and tight corners — so the whole yard is even and tidy.
Will edging damage my paths or concrete?+
No. We edge carefully along hard surfaces using the right tools, so you get a clean line without marking your paths or driveway.
03

Hedging & Pruning

Shaping and trimming of hedges, shrubs and small trees to keep your garden structured and healthy. Regular trimming keeps growth tidy and dense rather than woody and overgrown.

Common questions about hedging & pruning
Do you trim hedges and shrubs as well as mow?+
Yes. Alongside mowing we shape and trim hedges, shrubs and small trees. Hedging can be added to a regular visit or booked as a separate job when your garden needs a reset.
How often should hedges be trimmed?+
Most hedges look their best with a trim two or three times a year, though fast-growing varieties may need more. We can build hedge trimming into your regular visits at a sensible interval.
Can you cut back an overgrown hedge?+
Yes. If a hedge or shrub has been left for a while we can bring it back into shape, then keep it tidy with regular trims so it doesn't get away from you again.
Do you handle tall trees?+
We trim and shape small trees and shrubs as part of garden care. For large trees or anything needing climbing or major limb removal, a specialist arborist is the right call — we're happy to point you in the right direction.

Garden Tidy-Ups

Weeding, mulching and general garden maintenance to keep beds looking cared-for between bigger jobs. Ideal when a garden has been left a while and needs to be brought back under control.

Common questions about garden tidy-ups
What does a garden tidy-up include?+
A tidy-up covers the general garden jobs beyond mowing — weeding beds, light mulching and clearing overgrown areas. It's a good option when a garden needs to be brought back under control before regular visits begin.
Can a tidy-up be a regular service?+
Yes. Some customers book a tidy-up alongside their regular mow so beds and lawn stay in step. Others book one as needed. We'll set up whatever suits your garden.
Do you supply mulch?+
We can carry out light mulching as part of a tidy-up. For larger mulching jobs we'll discuss materials and quantities with you first so the quote is clear.
My garden is quite overgrown — can you still help?+
Yes. We regularly reset gardens that have been left for a while. We'll quote the initial clean-up, then a lighter regular visit keeps it easy from there.
05

Green Waste Removal

Clippings, prunings and garden debris cleared away and removed so you're left with nothing but a tidy yard. No overflowing bins, no piles to deal with after we leave.

Common questions about green waste removal
What happens to the grass clippings and prunings?+
We clear away clippings, prunings and garden debris as part of the job and remove the green waste so you're left with a tidy yard. If you'd prefer clippings left on the lawn or in your own bin, just let us know.
Is waste removal included in the price?+
For standard mowing visits, clearing and removing clippings is part of the service. For larger clean-ups that generate a lot of green waste, we'll make any extra removal clear in your quote.
Can you use my own green bin?+
Yes, if you'd like. Just let us know and we'll fill your green bin where it fits, and take away anything that doesn't.
Do you clean up after hedging and pruning jobs?+
Always. Every hedging or pruning job finishes with a full clean-up — offcuts cleared, paths blown down and the area left neat.
