How do you charge for residential electrical jobs?+
Every home is different, so we quote based on the work in front of us rather than a flat rate. For most jobs we will talk through what you need, assess the work and give you a clear, upfront quote before anything starts — so there are no surprises. Quotes are free and obligation-free. For smaller repairs we will explain how the job will be charged before we begin.
Can you help with an urgent electrical problem at home?+
Yes. Electrical faults like tripping power, dead circuits or burning smells should not wait, and we make a point of responding promptly to urgent residential work. If something does not feel safe, switch off the affected circuit at the switchboard if you can do so safely, keep clear of it, and call us. We will let you know how soon we can be there and what to do in the meantime.

Yes. Gordon Electrical is a licensed electrical business — our electrical licence number is 88778 — and all residential work is carried out by skilled, licensed electricians. Electrical work in Queensland must legally be done by a licensed electrician, both for your safety and so the work is compliant. We are happy to confirm our licence details any time you ask.
