What does a bond clean include?
A bond clean is a detailed end-of-lease clean that goes well beyond a regular tidy. It covers the areas property managers inspect closely — ovens, cooktops and rangehoods, inside cupboards and drawers, bathrooms and tiles, skirting boards, door frames and floors. When you book, tell us about your property and anything specific in your lease so we can make sure the clean matches what is expected.
Will a bond clean help me get my bond back?
A thorough bond clean gives you the best possible chance, because we clean to the standard property managers look for at the final inspection. We cannot speak for your agent's decision, as that can also depend on wear and tear and other lease conditions, but a detailed, methodical clean removes cleaning from the list of reasons a bond might be held. We are always honest with you about what we can and cannot influence.
How is bond cleaning priced?
Bond cleans are priced on the size and condition of the property and whether extras like carpet cleaning are included. Because an end-of-lease clean is more detailed than a regular clean, it is quoted separately. We will talk through your property, give you a clear price up front, and confirm exactly what is covered before we start so there are no surprises on moving day.
How long does an end-of-lease clean take?
It depends on the size of the home and its condition when we arrive. A small unit takes far less time than a large house that has not been cleaned in a while. When you contact us we will give you a realistic estimate for your property so you can plan your moving day around it. We focus on doing the job thoroughly rather than rushing it.
Do I need to be there on the day?
No, you do not need to be present for a bond clean — in fact many customers are busy with the move itself. We will simply arrange access with you beforehand. If you would like to do a walkthrough at the end you are very welcome to, and we are happy to talk you through what we have done before you hand the keys back.
Should I book the clean before or after my furniture is out?
A bond clean works best once the property is empty, because we can reach every surface, cupboard and corner without furniture in the way. We recommend booking the clean for after your removalists have finished. Let us know your moving timeline when you get in touch and we will line the clean up so it fits neatly into your handover schedule.
Can you clean the carpets as part of a bond clean?
Yes. Carpet cleaning is a popular add-on to our bond cleans, and many leases expect carpets to be professionally cleaned at the end of a tenancy. We can include a deep carpet clean alongside the bond clean so everything is handled in one booking. Mention it when you contact us and we will include it in your quote.
