How do you price a tiling job?
Every tiling job is quoted individually because the cost depends on the area, the tile material, the condition of the existing surface and the complexity of the layout. We provide a clear, no-obligation quote after discussing your project, so you know what's included before any work begins. We talk you through the options — different materials and finishes carry different costs — so you can make an informed choice rather than being handed a single figure with no explanation.
What types of tiles can you install?
We work with every common tile material — ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, mosaic and glass — across both floors and walls. Each material behaves differently during installation, so the right preparation and adhesive matter. With more than 40 years of hands-on experience, we can guide you toward a tile that suits the space, the traffic it will see and the look you're after, then install it to a standard that holds up over time.
Do you tile commercial spaces as well as homes?
Yes. Alongside residential work we complete commercial tile installation for retail, hospitality and industrial spaces. Commercial projects often involve larger areas, tighter timelines and higher-traffic finishes, and we plan the work to keep disruption to a minimum. Whether it's a shopfront, a feature wall or a large floor area, the same care and preparation goes into every job.
How long does a tiling project take?
Timeframes vary with the size of the area and the type of tile. A single splashback may take a day, while a full floor or a multi-room project runs longer — and natural stone or detailed patterns add time for cutting and setting. Adhesive and grout also need proper curing time before the surface is used. We give you a realistic schedule with your quote so you can plan around the work.
Do I need to supply my own tiles?
You're welcome to supply your own tiles, and many clients do once they've chosen a look they love. We can also advise on tile selection and supply if you'd prefer guidance. Either way, we'll let you know roughly how much tile to allow for, including extra for cuts and wastage, so you don't run short partway through the job.
What preparation is needed before tiling starts?
Good tiling starts beneath the surface. Depending on the area, preparation can include levelling the substrate, repairing or rendering surfaces, and waterproofing wet areas. We assess what's needed during quoting and include it in the plan. Skipping preparation is the most common reason tiling fails early, so it's never something we cut corners on.
Are you fully licensed?
