Everything you need to know about how we work, what we do, and what to expect from Winning Lawns and Gardens.
We service Paddington, Rosalie, Bardon, Red Hill, Kelvin Grove, Milton, Auchenflower, Toowong, St Lucia and Indooroopilly. If you're nearby and not on this list, call Harry on 0450 783 890 and he'll let you know if we can help.
We operate Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. We don't work weekends — this lets the team maintain consistent standards rather than fitting in rushed jobs around a seven-day week.
Call Harry on 0450 783 890, or fill in the contact form on our website. He typically gets back to enquiries the same day. For most properties he can provide a firm quote from a photo or a quick site visit.
Not at all. For most lawn and garden services, we just need access to your yard. Harry will confirm access arrangements with you when booking, and we'll send an SMS before we arrive.
We offer both. One-off jobs — cleanups, pre-sale tidy-ups, restoration visits — are a regular part of our work. Many clients start with a one-off and then move to a scheduled maintenance arrangement.
Yes. All green waste — lawn clippings (if requested), trimmings, weeds and debris — can be removed and responsibly disposed of as part of your service. Just let us know when booking.
Most Brisbane inner-west lawns need mowing every 2–3 weeks during the warmer months (October–March) and every 4–6 weeks in winter. Harry will advise the right frequency for your specific turf type during your first visit.
We mow all common Brisbane turf varieties including Buffalo, Sir Walter, Couch, Zoysia, Kikuyu and Paspalum. Harry is a qualified horticulturist and sets blade height correctly for each species.
Mowing the full lawn area, edging along paths, driveways and garden beds, blowing down hard surfaces, and a visual check for weeds or pest issues worth flagging. Clippings are mulched back or removed if preferred.
Yes. We're experienced with the hilly terrain in Bardon, Red Hill and surrounds. We use appropriate equipment for safe, quality results on any gradient.
Most inner-west gardens benefit from a maintenance visit every 4–6 weeks. High-growth gardens in summer may need more frequent attention. Harry will recommend a schedule after seeing your property.
Yes — a one-off restoration visit is something we handle regularly. We'll assess what the garden needs, work through it systematically, and can set up ongoing maintenance to keep it from getting away from you again.
Harry is a qualified horticulturist and happy to advise on plant selection for Brisbane's subtropical climate. Whether replanting a bed or looking for heat-tolerant ground cover, he can point you in the right direction.
Most hedges need trimming every 6–10 weeks during the warmer months and less frequently in winter. Fast-growing species like Lilly Pilly may need trimming every 4–6 weeks in summer.
Yes. Significant reshaping is possible for most species, though it's often done gradually over a few sessions to avoid stressing the plant. Harry will advise the right approach for your specific hedge.
Yes. We have equipment for hedges at height, including the larger privacy hedges common on inner-west properties. Safety is always the priority.
