Common Questions

Lawn Mowing & Lawn Care — your questions answered

Do you mow lawns in my suburb?
Simon looks after lawns across Brisbane's inner-northern suburbs, including Wilston, Windsor, Grange, Newmarket, Clayfield and Bridgeman Downs. If you're nearby and not sure whether you're in the area, just get in touch — he's happy to let you know and, where he can, will fit you into his existing rounds so visits stay reliable.
How often should my lawn be mowed?
It depends on the time of year and your grass type. In Brisbane's warmer, wetter months lawns grow quickly and usually need more frequent visits, while growth slows over the cooler months. As a qualified horticulturist, Simon will look at your lawn and recommend a schedule that keeps it neat without paying for visits you don't need.
Do you offer regular visits or one-off mows?
Both. Many clients book Simon on a regular schedule so their lawn always looks its best, while others call for a one-off tidy-up before an event or when the grass has gotten away from them. You're welcome to start with a single visit and move to a regular schedule if it suits.
What happens to the grass clippings?
All clippings are cleared away as part of the service — paths swept, edges tidied and nothing left behind. You come home to a lawn that's ready to enjoy, not a job half-finished.
How do you price lawn mowing?
Pricing depends on the size of your lawn, how it's accessed and the condition it's in. Simon will give you a clear quote before any work starts so you know exactly what to expect, with no surprises afterwards.
Can you fix a lawn that looks patchy, weedy or tired?
Yes. Beyond mowing, Simon offers complete lawn care — fertilising, aerating, top dressing, dethatching and weed and pest control. He'll assess what's holding your lawn back and put together a plan to bring it back to thick, healthy growth.
Do I need to be home when you mow?
No. As long as Simon can access the lawn and any gates, you don't need to be home. Many clients are at work during their visit and simply come back to a freshly mown, tidy garden.
