About SafePower Solutions

Do you cover my area in Brisbane?
SafePower Solutions is based in Norman Park and works with homeowners, businesses and property professionals right across Brisbane and the surrounding suburbs. If you are unsure whether your property is within reach, the quickest way to check is to call 1300 907 387 or send an enquiry through the contact form. Let us know the suburb and the type of work, and we will confirm availability and the best time to visit.
Is SafePower Solutions a fully licensed electrician?
Yes. SafePower Solutions operates under Contractors Licence Number 1509982 and Electrical Licence Number 129712, and all work is carried out in line with Australian Standards. Chris has over 15 years of hands-on industry experience across both residential and commercial work. Holding current licences means every job is completed legally, safely and to the standard your property needs.
How do you charge for electrical work?
Every job is different, so pricing is confirmed before any work begins, either verbally or in writing, once the scope is clear. For most jobs we will discuss what is involved, agree on the work, and provide a quote so there are no surprises along the way. Any additional work outside the agreed scope is always discussed with you first. The simplest way to get an accurate idea of cost is to get in touch with a few details about what you need.
What happens during an electrical safety inspection?
An electrical safety inspection is a visual and functional check of the accessible electrical components at your property at the time of the visit. We look for hazards, assess risk and check that things are working as they should, then provide a clear, practical report on what we found and what we recommend. Concealed wiring and components that are not reasonably accessible sit outside the scope of a standard inspection.
Can you help get a property ready before I sell it?
Yes. Pre-sale electrical checks are one of our core services. We carry out targeted inspections and can support any rectification work needed, so electrical issues are identified and addressed before buyer inspections rather than becoming a surprise during the sale. It is a practical way to give buyers confidence and avoid last-minute delays. Get in touch and let us know your timeframe.
How soon can you come out?
Availability depends on the type of work and how busy the schedule is, but we always aim to respond quickly and book a time that suits you. If your situation is urgent, for example a fault or a loss of power, let us know when you call on 1300 907 387 and we will do our best to prioritise it. For planned work such as upgrades or inspections, we will agree a suitable date with you in advance.
Do you work with property managers and real estate agents?
Yes. Alongside homeowners, we regularly work with property managers, real estate professionals and business owners. We provide electrical safety inspections, ongoing property maintenance and compliance support for managed properties, tenancies and commercial spaces. Clear communication and practical reporting make it easier to keep properties safe, compliant and ready, whether for maintenance, sale or building work.
Can you upgrade my switchboard?
Yes. Switchboard upgrades are a common job for us. Older or overloaded switchboards can struggle with modern electrical demands and may not meet current safety standards. We can assess your existing board and upgrade it to improve safety and support the way your home or business uses power today. If you are not sure whether yours needs attention, we can take a look and advise.
Do you handle smoke alarm installation and compliance?
Yes. We supply, install and carry out compliance checks on smoke alarms to help your property meet current Queensland smoke alarm requirements. Whether you are upgrading existing alarms, fitting new ones, or want to confirm your property is compliant, we can help. Smoke alarm rules have changed in recent years, so it is worth checking if you are unsure where your property stands.
How do I get a quote or book a job?
The easiest ways to get started are to call 1300 907 387 or fill in the enquiry form on the contact page. Let us know your suburb, the type of electrical work you need and any timing that matters to you, and we will get back to you to discuss the job and arrange a visit. The more detail you can share up front, the more accurately we can help.
Service Questions

About our electrical work

What types of electrical work do you take on?
SafePower Solutions covers two broad areas. The first is everyday residential electrical work such as switchboard upgrades, lighting, powerpoints, ceiling fans, appliance connections, smoke alarms and general repairs. The second is electrical safety and site services, including safety inspections, pre-sale checks, compliance and rectification, isolation and reinstatement, property maintenance and support for builders and trades. If you are unsure which category your job falls into, just get in touch and describe what you need.
Do you take on small jobs as well as larger projects?
Yes. From a single powerpoint, a faulty light or a quick repair through to switchboard upgrades and renovation electrical work, no job is too small. Chris brings the same methodical, careful approach to everyday tasks as to larger projects. If you have a short list of small electrical jobs around the home, they can often be handled together in one visit, which is usually the most practical way to get them sorted.
Can you support a home renovation?
Yes. Electrical upgrades for kitchen, bathroom and home renovations are a regular part of our work. Getting the electrical side planned and installed properly from the start avoids problems later and keeps the project moving. We can work to your plans and coordinate timing so the electrical work fits around the rest of the renovation. It helps to involve us early so the wiring, lighting and power layout suit how you will use the space.
What does your isolation and reinstatement service involve?
Isolation and reinstatement is about safely shutting down and later restoring power to a property or part of a site, often before maintenance, renovation or building work. We follow appropriate lock out and tag out procedures so everyone on site stays safe while power is off. Once work is complete, power is reinstated in a controlled manner. It is a considered, methodical process designed to manage electrical risk for homeowners, trades and builders alike.
Do you provide a report after an inspection?
Yes. After an electrical safety inspection or pre-sale check, you receive clear, practical reporting on what was found and what we recommend. The report is based on observations at the time of the visit and is written to be genuinely useful rather than overly technical. Recommendations should be acted on by a licensed electrician, and we are happy to discuss the findings with you so you understand the next steps.
Will you coordinate with my builder or other trades?
Yes. Site coordination and trade support is a service in its own right. We work alongside builders and other trades to manage electrical safety, timing and access during works, so the electrical side does not hold up the rest of the project. Many builders and suppliers already trust SafePower Solutions for this kind of work. If you are managing a project, let us know the schedule and we will fit in with it.
