Can you help in an electrical emergency?
Yes. We offer emergency call-outs for genuine electrical faults — loss of power, burning smells, tripping circuits, exposed or damaged wiring, and similar safety concerns. After-hours call-outs incur additional charges, which we'll make clear when you call. If you're ever worried something is unsafe, switch off the affected circuit at the switchboard if you can do so safely, keep clear of it, and call us. We'll prioritise getting a licensed electrician to you and making the situation safe.
How often should air conditioning be serviced?
As a general guide, a yearly service keeps a system running efficiently, and in dusty environments or with heavy use a check every six months is worthwhile. Regular servicing — including filter cleaning, a hygienic deep clean and sanitise, and general checkups — helps the unit cool effectively, run efficiently and last longer. It also catches small issues before they become breakdowns. We can carry out servicing, inspections and checkups and provide a report on the system's condition.
How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?
Tell-tale signs include old ceramic fuses, no safety switches (RCDs), frequent tripping, a crowded or messy board, or scorch marks and a burning smell. Older switchboards often can't safely handle the demands of a modern home full of appliances, air conditioning and electronics.
