Started by a Brisbane electrician who never stopped
Macdonald Air & Electrical was established in 2013 by Alex Macdonald. The business was created to specialise in two areas of the electrical trade: the installation of solar power, and the installation and maintenance of air conditioning. From working for builders on new homes through to the smart-home technology in modern houses today, Alex has been an electrician in Brisbane since leaving school and has seen the trade change enormously. He built the team around quality, ongoing training and a friendly, non-salesy approach, so customers feel confident they have made the right choice.
Today the team is made up of electricians, solar-accredited installers and refrigeration mechanics — so whatever you need, we’ll have the right person for the job.

Alex founded Macdonald Air & Electrical in 2013 and still sets the standard the team works to: turn up when you say you will, do the work properly, clean up after yourself, and treat the customer the way you’d want to be treated. It’s a simple approach — and it’s why so much of our work comes from happy customers and their neighbours.
