General Electrical

What electrical services do you offer?

Lighting installations and upgrades, power point additions, switchboard upgrades, safety switch (RCD) installation and testing, ceiling fan wiring, outdoor and garden lighting, fault finding and repairs.

Can you add power points (GPOs) to my home?

Yes — kitchen benchtops, garages, outdoor areas, under-desk setups. We'll run new circuits where needed and ensure all work complies with Queensland regulations.

When do I need a switchboard upgrade?

Consider upgrading if your home still has ceramic fuses, if breakers trip frequently, if you're renovating or adding high-draw appliances (EV charger, hot tub, ducted air con), or if you're installing solar.

Are safety switches mandatory in QLD?

Since 1992, safety switches are required on all power circuits for new work in Queensland. Since 2000, they're also required on lighting circuits for new work. Older homes may not have them on all circuits — we can test and install where missing.

Air Conditioning

What air conditioning systems do you install?

Split systems (wall and floor-mounted), multi-head split systems, cassette units and ducted air conditioning for whole-home comfort. We work with Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Panasonic, LG and other major brands.

How often should I service my air conditioner?

Once a year is ideal. Regular servicing keeps efficiency high, extends the unit's life, and reduces running costs. We also check refrigerant levels, filters and electrical connections as part of a service.

My split system isn't cooling properly — what should I check?

Start with the filter — a clogged filter is the most common cause. If cleaning the filter doesn't help, the issue may be low refrigerant, a dirty evaporator coil or a faulty compressor. Call us for a diagnosis.

Can you supply the air conditioner as well as install it?

Yes. We can supply and install, or install a unit you've already purchased. We'll recommend the right brand and capacity for your space if you want our advice before purchasing.

Solar PV

Is the Gold Coast good for solar?

Excellent. The Gold Coast has high solar irradiance throughout the year, and most well-sized systems pay back their cost within 3–6 years through reduced electricity bills and feed-in tariffs.

What government rebates are available?

The federal STC (Small-scale Technology Certificate) scheme reduces the upfront cost of solar installations. The rebate amount depends on system size and your location — we apply this automatically to your quote.

Do you handle the Energex connection application?

Yes. We manage the entire grid connection process with Energex, including the application, required inspections and generation meter installation. You don't need to deal with any of the paperwork.

Can I add a battery to an existing solar system?

In most cases, yes. Compatibility depends on your existing inverter. We'll assess your current setup and recommend the most cost-effective battery option if your system is battery-ready.
