Pruning, shaping, and safe removal

Trees define a garden — and they're the part most homeowners are nervous about touching. Whether you need a hedge trimmed, a feature tree shaped, or a hazardous limb removed before the storm season, our crew has the gear and the expertise.

For larger removal work (trees over 4m, near power lines, or close to structures), we coordinate with certified arborists and use rope-access techniques to bring the tree down in controlled sections.

All removal work includes stump treatment or grinding, and the green waste is taken off-site as part of the job — no piles of cut limbs left on your driveway.

Questions about tree maintenance & removal

The things customers ask us most often.

How much does tree removal cost?

Tree removal is quoted per job based on size, access difficulty, proximity to structures or power lines, and whether stump grinding is included. Smaller trees in clear yards can be priced over the phone with a photo; anything more complex needs a free site assessment. The quote covers labour, equipment, debris removal and safe disposal.

Are you insured for tree work?

Yes. We carry public liability insurance covering tree work, and for any removal involving climbing or proximity to structures we coordinate with certified arborists who carry their own specialist insurance. We're happy to send certificates before the job is booked.

Do council permits apply to my tree?

Brisbane City Council has rules around significant landscape trees — typically based on trunk diameter and species. We check your tree against current council requirements before quoting any removal, and we'll let you know if a permit is needed. We never remove a tree without confirming it's lawful to do so.

Can you prune without removing?

Absolutely — most of our tree work is shaping, crown-lifting, and selective pruning rather than removal. Good pruning extends a tree's life and keeps it safer in storms. We follow Australian Standard AS 4373 for pruning live amenity trees.

What happens to the green waste?

All cut material is removed from your property as part of the job. We don't leave debris piles for council pickup. Smaller jobs use our tipper trailer; larger removals use a chipper to mulch on-site so we leave with a single truckload.

Can you respond to a storm-damaged tree quickly?

Yes — storm response is a separate same-day service. If a tree has come down or a limb is hanging dangerously, we usually have a crew on site within 24 hours. Call our number directly for the fastest response.
