How a Landscapers Plus build comes together

Most of our jobs start with a free site visit. We walk the space with you, listen to how you want to use it, capture the constraints (drainage, soil, neighbouring trees, kids, pets), and sketch out the moves we'd recommend.

Once the direction is agreed, we move into a tailored design — plant palette, hardscape detail, lighting layout, irrigation, edging. You see exactly what's going in before any quote lands.

Construction is run by our QBCC-licensed team. We coordinate sub-trades, manage materials, keep the site tidy daily, and walk you through the handover with a maintenance plan so the landscape thrives in year two and beyond.

How does pricing work for a landscape build?

Every build is quoted on the specific design — there's no flat hourly rate or square-metre formula because no two yards are identical. After our free site visit and design walk-through, you'll receive a detailed itemised quote covering plants, hardscape, lighting, irrigation, labour, and any sub-trade work. There are no scary surprises mid-build; we agree the inclusions upfront and any variations are quoted separately before they happen.

How long does a full landscape build typically take?

A compact courtyard refresh usually runs two to four weeks on site. A full backyard with retaining, decking, planting and lighting is more often four to eight weeks. Larger multi-zone or terraced sites can stretch to three months. We give you a working timeline as part of the quote and update it weekly during construction so you always know what's coming next.

Are you fully licensed and insured for construction work?

Yes. Landscapers Plus holds QBCC Licence 15059008, which covers landscape construction work in Queensland. We carry public liability insurance and our team is trained to current workplace safety standards. We're happy to send through a copy of the licence and insurance certificate before any contract is signed.

Do you handle drainage, retaining walls and structural elements?

Yes — drainage, retaining and structural elements are part of most of our builds and we treat them as engineering, not afterthoughts. Where a retaining wall is over 1m or designed to hold a vehicle load, we engage a structural engineer for certification. Drainage is designed into the site plan from day one so the landscape still looks great after a Brisbane storm.

Can you work with my architect or designer?

Absolutely. We've delivered builds working directly from architect documentation as well as collaborating during the design phase. If you've already got a landscape designer's plan, we'll price it, flag anything we'd refine for buildability or longevity, and execute. If you're starting from scratch, we'll handle the design in-house.
