Originally from near Naples, Italy, Omar started in the trade as a young apprentice, working under master tilers in a region where stone and tile have been part of the building craft for thousands of years. The discipline came from there: clean lines, precise grouts, mitres that meet at the corner, and a finish that doesn't move five years later.

After moving to Australia, Omar worked across Brisbane residential and commercial projects before launching Innovatile Tiling Experts. The studio is owner-operated by design — every site visit, every quote and every install is led personally, so the work that lands on the final day is the work the client agreed to at the quote.

The portfolio is a mix of full bathroom renovations, indoor floor and feature tiling, alfresco and pool-surround installs, and standalone waterproofing for builders. Bathrooms are the largest part of the work, partly because the trade is dominated by bathroom-tiling-plus-waterproofing problems and bringing both under one roof prevents the most common failures.

Omar's philosophy on the work is simple: substrate, membrane, screed, tile, grout, silicone — each layer is non-negotiable in its own right, and the job is only as good as its worst step. The pre-tile checklist on every install is the operational version of that idea.
