How long does carpet cleaning take?

Most standard rooms take 20–40 minutes. A typical 3-bedroom home with hallways and living areas takes 2–3 hours. Heavily soiled carpets or large open-plan areas may take a little longer — we'll give you an accurate estimate when you book.

How long does it take for carpets to dry?

Carpets typically take 4–8 hours to dry depending on ventilation, humidity and how soiled the carpet was. Good airflow (open windows or fans) speeds things up significantly. We use hot-water extraction which removes most of the moisture — your carpet won't be sopping wet.

Can you remove tough stains?

We handle all kinds of stains including pet accidents, red wine, mud, grease, coffee and more. Some stains may be permanent if they've been set for a long time or if incorrect DIY products were applied — we'll give you an honest assessment before starting.

Can you remove pet stains and odours?

Absolutely — pet stains and odours are one of our most common requests. We use professional-grade enzyme treatments that break down the organic compounds causing the smell at the source, not just mask it with fragrance.

Do you move furniture?

We move light furniture (chairs, small tables, ottomans) as part of our standard service. For heavy pieces such as beds, large wardrobes or entertainment units, we ask that you move these beforehand or let us know at the time of booking so we can plan accordingly.

How often should I have carpets professionally cleaned?

For most homes, once a year is sufficient. Homes with pets, young children or allergy sufferers benefit from every 6 months. High-traffic areas like hallways and lounges may need more frequent attention. Regular professional cleaning also helps extend your carpet's lifespan.

Do I need to prepare before you arrive?

Vacuum the carpet if possible and move small, fragile or valuable items. We'll handle the rest — moving light furniture, protecting timber edges and using mats on hard floors to avoid tracking.

What carpet cleaning method do you use?

We use hot-water extraction (also called steam cleaning) — the most effective method for deep cleaning residential carpet. It reaches deep into the pile to remove embedded dirt, allergens and bacteria that surface cleaning misses.

We clean most fabric upholstery including microfibre, cotton, synthetic blends and velvet. We assess the fabric type before starting to ensure the safest, most effective method. Some delicate fabrics may require dry-clean-only care — we'll let you know upfront.

How long after upholstery cleaning can we use the furniture?

Most upholstery is dry enough to use within 2–4 hours. Thicker cushions or heavily soiled pieces may take a little longer. We'll advise you on drying time based on the specific fabric and conditions on the day.

What results can I expect from tile and grout cleaning?

Professional tile and grout cleaning uses high-pressure techniques and professional-grade cleaning solutions that go far beyond what household mops and scrubbing can achieve. Grout lines that have gone grey or brown typically come back to their original colour after treatment.

Are pest control treatments safe for children and pets?

Yes. We use professional-grade treatments that are safe when applied correctly. We'll give you clear re-entry instructions — typically 2–4 hours for general pest treatments. Children and pets should stay out of treated areas until completely dry.
