General questions

What suburbs does Aaron's Mowing service?
We service a wide range of Brisbane suburbs and surrounding areas, with a strong presence across the north-western and inner-northern suburbs including The Gap, Upper Kedron, Ferny Grove, Keperra, Mitchelton, Ashgrove, Bardon and many more. If your suburb isn't on our list, get in touch anyway — we're always happy to let you know if we can help.
How do I get a quote?
Getting a quote is free and easy. Use the contact form on this site or call us on 0409 721 129 with a few details about your property and what you'd like done. We'll come back to you with a clear, no-obligation price.
What are your operating hours?
We operate Monday to Thursday from 7:00am to 5:00pm and Friday from 7:00am to 1:00pm. We're closed on weekends. You can send an enquiry through our contact form any time and we'll respond during business hours.
Do you service both homes and businesses?
Yes. Aaron's Mowing works with residential customers as well as commercial properties, body corporate and strata grounds, and rental properties. Whatever the property type, we tailor the service to suit it.
How experienced is the team?
Aaron's Mowing is backed by three decades of industry expertise, and we take pride in delivering exceptional service. That experience shows in the consistency of our work and the advice we give customers about their lawns and gardens.
Do you offer one-off jobs or only regular services?
Both. We're happy to do one-off cleanups, tidy-ups and projects as well as regular, recurring lawn and garden maintenance. Just let us know what you're after when you get in touch.
How do I pay for the service?
We'll explain payment options when we set up your service or confirm your job. Many of our regular customers tell us our administration and payment process is straightforward and easy to deal with.
Do I need to be home for the work to be done?
For most outdoor work, you don't need to be home as long as we have safe access to the areas being worked on. We'll confirm how access works when we book your job.

Lawn Mowing

How much does lawn mowing cost?
Pricing depends on the size of your lawn, how often it's mowed, and the access on your property. The simplest way to get an accurate figure is to request a free quote — we'll look at your property details and give you a clear, no-obligation price before any work starts. Regular customers on a recurring schedule are generally quoted differently to one-off cuts, so it's worth telling us how often you'd like the lawn done.
How often should I have my lawn mowed?
It depends on the grass type, the season, and how you like your lawn to look. Through Brisbane's warmer, wetter months, lawns grow quickly and many customers prefer a fortnightly visit, while cooler months can stretch longer between cuts. We'll recommend a schedule based on your lawn and only mow when it genuinely needs it, so you're never paying for a cut your grass didn't need.
Do you do both residential and commercial mowing?
Yes. We mow residential lawns of all sizes as well as commercial properties, body corporate grounds, and rental properties. Commercial and larger sites are quoted on their own merits, so just let us know the property type when you get in touch and we'll tailor the visit accordingly.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes — our team arrives fully equipped with commercial mowers, edgers, trimmers and blowers. You don't need to provide anything. We simply ask that the area is reasonably clear of toys, hoses and pet mess so we can work safely and efficiently.
Will you catch and remove the grass clippings?
Our standard mowing service includes grass collection so your lawn is left clean and tidy. If you'd prefer clippings mulched back into the lawn in certain conditions, just let us know and we can talk through what's best for your grass.
Do I need to be home when you mow?
No. As long as we have safe access to the lawn areas, most customers are happy for us to mow while they're out. We'll let you know how access works when we set up your service, and you'll always know your scheduled visits in advance.
Do you service acreage and larger blocks?
Yes. We have the equipment to handle larger residential blocks and acreage as well as standard suburban lawns. Larger properties are quoted individually, so tell us the rough size and we'll give you an accurate price.

Garden Maintenance

How does garden maintenance pricing work?
Garden maintenance is quoted on the size of your garden, the work involved, and how regularly you'd like us to visit. Because every property is different, we provide a free quote after looking at your property details — that way you get a clear price for exactly the upkeep you need, with no surprises.
Can you maintain commercial and strata properties?
Yes. We maintain residential gardens as well as commercial premises, body corporate and strata grounds, and rental properties. Keeping these spaces tidy and welcoming is part of what we do — just let us know the property type and we'll tailor a maintenance plan to it.
How often will you come?
That's up to you and what your garden needs. Many customers choose a regular fortnightly or monthly visit so their garden never gets away from them, while others prefer a seasonal tidy-up. We'll recommend a schedule and you can adjust it any time.
What does a garden maintenance visit include?
A typical visit covers weeding and tidying garden beds, lawn care and edging, light pruning, and removal of the green waste we generate. We'll agree on the scope with you up front so every visit covers what matters most for your property.
Do you remove the green waste?
Yes. The green waste generated during your maintenance visit is cleared away as part of the service, so you're left with a tidy property and nothing to dispose of yourself.
Can you take over a garden that's become overgrown?
Absolutely. If your garden has gotten away from you, we can start with a one-off restorative clean-up to bring it back to a good baseline, then keep it that way with regular maintenance. Just mention the current state when you request a quote so we can scope it properly.
Do I need to supply anything?
No. Our team arrives with all the tools and equipment needed for the job. We just ask for safe access to the areas being maintained.

Hedge, Bush & Tree Work

How much does hedge and tree work cost?
It depends on the size and number of hedges, shrubs or small trees, how overgrown they are, and access on your property. We provide a free quote after assessing the job, so you'll know the price before we start. Send through a few details or photos when you enquire and we can give you a clear estimate.
Do you remove trees as well as trim them?
We trim and remove small trees and palms, and cut back overhanging branches. For very large trees or jobs that require a qualified arborist or specialist removal, we'll let you know honestly so you can arrange the right person — we won't take on work beyond what we can do safely and well.
How often should hedges be trimmed?
Most hedges benefit from trimming a couple of times a year to hold their shape, with fast-growing varieties needing more frequent attention. We can shape them as a one-off job or include hedge upkeep in a regular garden maintenance schedule so they always look sharp.
Do you clean up the trimmings and branches?
Yes. We clear away the green waste generated by the job and tidy the area before we leave, so you're left with neat hedges and a clean property rather than a pile of clippings.
Can you help after a storm?
Yes. We provide storm clean-up services, including cutting back damaged branches and clearing fallen debris from small trees and palms. After severe weather we do get busy, so get in touch as soon as you can and we'll fit you in as quickly as possible.
Will trimming hurt my plants?
Done correctly, cutting back hedges and shrubs actually supports healthy, dense growth. Our team shapes plants with their health in mind, not just their appearance, so your hedges stay strong as well as tidy.
Do you cut back overhanging branches from neighbouring trees?
We can cut back branches that overhang your property where it's safe and appropriate to do so. If a branch belongs to a neighbour's tree there can be courtesy and boundary considerations, and we're happy to talk through the best approach when we quote.

Weed Control

How much does weed control cost?
Pricing depends on the size of the area being treated, the type and extent of the weeds, and whether you'd like a one-off treatment or an ongoing program. We provide a free quote based on your property so you get an accurate price for the treatment your lawn and garden actually need.
Are the herbicides you use safe?
We use safe and effective herbicide treatments and apply them responsibly and in a targeted way. If you have children, pets or specific concerns, let us know when we quote and we'll talk you through how the treatment works and any sensible precautions, such as keeping off a treated area until it has dried.
How often should weeds be treated?
Weeds are seasonal, so most lawns benefit from treatment a few times across the year rather than a single application. We offer seasonal weed treatments and can recommend a sensible schedule for your property — staying ahead of weeds is far easier than chasing them once they've spread.
Do you treat lawn grubs and armyworm?
Yes. As well as weeds, we offer effective solutions for lawn grubs and armyworms, which can cause serious damage to a lawn very quickly. If you've noticed patches of dying or chewed grass, get in touch — early treatment makes a big difference.
Can you fertilise my lawn as well?
Yes. We provide professional fertilising services to keep your lawn healthy and thriving. A well-fed lawn grows thicker and is far more resistant to weeds and pests, so fertilising and weed control work well together as part of a healthy-lawn program.
Do you treat driveways, paths and acreage?
Yes. We provide weed control for driveways, paved areas, garden beds, acreage and bushland — not just lawns. Hard-surface and large-area weed treatment is a regular part of what we do, so just tell us what needs treating when you enquire.
How soon will I see results?
Most herbicide treatments take a little time to fully work through the weeds, so you'll typically see them decline over the days following treatment rather than immediately. We're happy to explain what to expect for the specific weeds on your property.

Pressure Cleaning

How much does pressure cleaning cost?
Pressure cleaning is quoted on the size and type of the surfaces being cleaned and how much build-up there is. We provide a free quote after looking at the areas you'd like done, so you get a clear price up front. Driveways, paths, patios and retaining walls can all be quoted together if you'd like several areas cleaned.
What surfaces can you pressure clean?
We clean driveways, footpaths, patios and retaining walls — the hard outdoor surfaces around your property that build up dirt, moss, mould and mildew. If you have a particular surface in mind, mention it when you get in touch and we'll confirm it's suitable for pressure cleaning.
Why is moss and mould on paths a problem?
Beyond looking unsightly, moss, mould and mildew make hard surfaces slippery — a genuine slip-and-fall hazard, especially when wet. Removing them keeps your outdoor areas safer for family, visitors, employees and customers, which is one of the main reasons people book the service.
How often should I have surfaces pressure cleaned?
It depends on the surface, how shaded and damp it is, and how much foot or vehicle traffic it gets. Many properties benefit from a clean once a year or so, while heavily shaded areas that stay damp may need it more often. We can advise based on your property.
Will pressure cleaning damage my surfaces?
Pressure cleaning is effective on driveways, paths, patios and retaining walls when done with the right technique and pressure for each surface. Our team adjusts the approach to suit the surface so it's cleaned thoroughly without harm — if a surface isn't suitable, we'll tell you.
Do you need anything from me on the day?
Just safe access to the areas being cleaned and, ideally, vehicles and movable items off driveways and patios so we can clean the full surface. We'll let you know anything specific when we confirm your booking.
Can pressure cleaning be combined with other services?
Yes. Many customers have pressure cleaning done alongside a garden tidy-up or as part of getting a property ready for sale or inspection. Let us know everything you'd like done and we can quote it together.

Landscape Makeovers & Install

How much does a landscape makeover cost?
Landscape work varies enormously depending on the size of the area, the materials chosen, and how much groundwork is involved. Because of that, we provide a free, detailed quote after discussing what you'd like to achieve — that way the price reflects your actual project rather than a generic estimate.
Do you supply the turf and materials?
Yes. We supply and install high-quality turf varieties as well as mulch, plants and the materials for garden borders and retaining walls. We'll recommend options that suit your space, soil and budget, and you'll know exactly what's included in your quote.
Do you prepare the ground before laying new turf?
Yes — and it matters. We carry out full ground preparation before laying turf so the new lawn establishes with a strong, lasting root base. Skipping proper prep is the most common reason new lawns fail, which is why it's a standard part of our turf installation.
Can you build or replace retaining walls and garden borders?
Yes. We install and replace timber, stone and steel garden borders and retaining walls to create defined, low-maintenance garden areas. Whether you need a tired old border replaced or a new one built from scratch, we can scope it as part of your makeover.
How long does a landscape makeover take?
It depends entirely on the scope — laying a section of turf is a much shorter job than a full yard transformation with new borders, planting and mulch. When we quote your project we'll give you a realistic timeframe so you know what to expect.
Will my new lawn need special care once it's installed?
New turf needs the right watering and care while it establishes, and we'll give you clear guidance for your specific turf variety. Once it's settled in, we can also keep it looking its best with our regular mowing and lawn care services.
Can you makeover just part of my yard?
Absolutely. Not every project is a full transformation — many customers start with one area, such as fresh turf for the front yard or a new garden border. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll quote exactly that.
