1. Agreement to Terms
By booking a service with Proper Cleaning Services ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all cleaning services provided by Proper Cleaning Services operating from Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast QLD.
2. Services
We provide professional carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, mattress cleaning, and rug cleaning services to residential and commercial customers across the Gold Coast region.
All services are carried out by the owner-operator. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
3. Quotes and Pricing
All quotes provided are estimates based on information supplied at the time of booking. Final pricing may vary if:
- The actual area or condition differs significantly from what was described
- Additional treatments are required (e.g. enzyme treatment for heavy pet urine)
- The property is outside the standard service radius
We will always discuss any variation with you before proceeding. Minimum call-out fees apply as outlined on our pricing page.
4. Bookings and Cancellations
Bookings can be made by phone or via the contact form on this website. We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling wherever possible. Late cancellations (less than 2 hours' notice) may incur a call-out fee.
5. Access and Preparation
You are responsible for ensuring we have reasonable access to the areas to be cleaned at the agreed time. While we can assist with moving lighter furniture, we are not responsible for damage to items not disclosed prior to the job or for items that cannot be safely moved.
Please ensure children and pets are kept clear of the work area during and immediately after cleaning.
6. Stain Removal
While we use professional-grade equipment and products, we cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains. Some stains (bleach damage, permanent dyes, deeply set chemical stains) may be irreversible. We will advise you of likely outcomes before commencing work.
7. Drying Time and Use of Cleaned Areas
Carpets and upholstery should not be used until adequately dry to prevent re-soiling. We recommend waiting at least 2 hours before walking on cleaned carpets with shoes. We accept no liability for damage caused by premature use of cleaned surfaces.
8. Liability
We carry public liability insurance. Our liability for any claim is limited to the cost of re-performing the service in question. We accept no liability for pre-existing damage, inherent defects in materials, or damage caused by factors outside our control.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from our services.
9. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payments. Overdue accounts may incur interest and recovery costs.
10. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 48 hours of the service date. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue promptly. Contact us by phone on 0423 166 553.
11. Privacy
We collect only the personal information necessary to provide our services (name, contact details, address). We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. Information is used solely for service delivery and communication purposes, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Current terms are always available at this URL. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
